Cycle Hire Terms & Conditions

Any damage to Cycles due to customer negligence or incompetence during hire may incur a discretionary charge for repair on inspection.

The customer is responsible for the equipment whilst on hire.

If you come into any problems during your hire, the issue must be called in (the phone number is on all the bikes and business card we give out) we will then offer assistance through phone or send our breakdown driver to assist road side or swap with a replacement bike.

Cyclists must abide by the rules of the road and all bikes must stay on the road. They cannot be cycled on the pavement or taken on the beach or through fields as it damages the gears and will cost time and money to repair. If you are unsure of any rules of the road please ask staff.

Refunds and deposit return are subject to On Your Bike refund policy.

Sensible cycling at all times – no skidding, cycling on one wheel or cycling with no hands.

On Your Bike cannot be held liable for injury or damage due to cyclist choice of inappropriate clothing I.e. flip flops, baggy or loose trousers or exposed skin, or for any injuries sustained by anyone in the group as a consequence of not wearing a safety helmet.

Helmets are not mandatory by law but are encouraged to be worn and are provided free of charge to hire, except for children in child seats – they must wear a helmet.

Cyclists must not have any medical conditions which would prevent them from cycling safely or be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

On Your Bike are happy to answer any questions customers may have regarding their hire and will help as much as we can, however questions and help must be asked for in order for us to assist. Otherwise we cannot know if you are unsure of anything regarding your hire.

On Your Bike ensure all customers have correct fitting bikes upon leaving the store. If bikes are swapped within the group during the hire, On Your Bike is not responsible for ill fitting bikes, which could result in damage or injury.

Customers agree upon leaving the store that they are happy and confident with the bike On Your Bike has given them to hire. If you are not happy with the bike you have been given, we will be happy to exchange in store before you leave and begin your hire.

 

KAYAK Terms & Conditions

All kayak users must be able to swim!

Do not drag kayaks! Dragging kayaks will result in loss of deposit and may incur an additional charge!

All kayak users must wear buoyancy vests at all times, these will be provided and fitted by On Your Bike!

All kayak users under 16 must have permission, accept hire conditions and  supervised by a parent or legal guardian.

All kayak users must stay within the designated safety zone. You must ask staff where this is.

All kayak users understand the weather conditions and where On Your Bike staff have advised is safe to go.

All kayak users users must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

We ask our customers to treat the equipment responsibly. Damage or loss of equipment must be paid for.

Deposits will be returned subject to our refund policy and if all equipment is returned safely and within hire time. Deposits will not be returned until all the equipment hired by your group (all kayaks, life jackets and oars) are returned to the store.

All kayak users must be free of any medical condition that could prevent their ability to participate safely.

On Your Bike does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal effects.

Do not disturb the Wildlife!

Paddle Board Terms & Conditions

All paddle board users must be able to swim.

Do not drag Paddle Boards. Dragging will result in loss of your deposit and may incur an extra charge for any damage.

Paddle Boards MUST be kept away from rocks.

Damage or loss of equipment caused due to negligence will result in loss of deposit and may incur an extra charge.

Paddle Board users must board at knee height depth and no shallower to minimise risk of damage.

All Paddle Bard users must wear a life jacket at all times.

All Paddle Board users under the age of 16 must have permission and be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

All Paddle Board users must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

All Paddle Board users must be free of any medical condition that could affect their ability to participate safely.

On Your Bike is not responsible for loss or damage of personal property.

Do not disturb the wildlife.

All Paddle Board users understand the weather conditions and agree with what On Your Bike staff have advised and the staffs discretion i.e. staying in a shallower depth or early return if the weather change.

All Paddle Board users must stay within the designated safety zone.

You must ask Staff where this is. This proves to staff you have read the terms and conditions. Failure to ask staff now will result in staff asking you to read the terms and conditions again to ensure users understand and agree.

Max weight capacity on Paddle Board – 15 stone

Paddle Boards are restricted to one rider only.

 

Electric Bikes Terms and Conditions

I acknowledge that the use of e-bikes can be dangerous and acknowledge the risks involved in their use and I fully indemnify On Your Bike against claims of injury to myself or any third party unless it can be proven On Your Bike did not fulfill reasonable maintenance procedures for the equipment being used.

Cyclists must be over 16.

Cyclists must abide by the rules of the road (cycle on the road, not on the pavement, on the same side as the cars, follow one way street protocols).

E-Bikes must not be taken off road (or on to the beach).

Any damage or loss through fault of the cyclist is paid for and deposit is kept by On Your Bike.

Max weight capacity – 18 stone

Cyclists must wear sensible shoes (flip flops are not advised)

Helmets are not mandatory by law but are encouraged to be worn and are free of charge to hire.

On Your Bike cannot be held liable for any injuries sustained by anyone in the group as a consequence of not wearing a safety helmet.

I confirm that everyone in my group renting e-bikes is a competent cyclist and that the e-bikes will not be used by anyone other than those people in our party and On Your Bike know who will be riding the bikes.

I can confirm that I and no one in my group is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

I can confirm that I and no one in my group have any medical conditions which would prevent me from cycling safely.

I understand that we need to tell you before leaving the store if we are not happy with any of our rented equipment and that if we encounter a problem whilst on a ride we will call you from a mobile phone to report the fault.

I can confirm that my group and I riding the e-bikes have been given full demonstration at time of hire, instructions for use and have answered any questions I have to my full understanding.

I accept that in the event that any member of our group is unable to use the e-bike during the hire period due to mechanical failure, a refund will only be issued on the bike affected and only if On Your Bike could not restore our journey quickly or allow us extra time to complete the journey or help bring us back to base.

I understand that we need to bring the e-bikes back at the specified time and that if we return any e-bikes hired by our group late for any reason this could affect other bookings and agree that we will be charged for the extra time for every e-bike returned late.

 

Refund Policy

Valid Cause for refund:

  • Bike malfunction or failure as fault by On Your Bike agreed upon customer calling to report
  • Issue could not be fixed roadside after a call out
  • Injury due to fault of On Your Bike

Issue/problem/bike failure must be called in immediately upon realising.  No refund will be given upon return if was not called in and reported at the time of the incident/upon immediately realising the situation and instead only reported upon return after the hire.

The phone number for the shop is on all the bikes.
Continuing with the hire anyway will result in no refund/deposit returned if On Your Bike advised to return to base, or could not assist road side for the call out.

Early hire return (returning before agreed time upon beginning the hire) will not be issued any partial refund without valid cause agreed by On Your Bike. See valid cause reasons above.

Refunds will be given for the bike/kayak with the issue, not the whole party without valid cause agreed by On Your Bike and understanding it was a fault on our end.

No refund will be given if the injury is due to cyclists choice of clothing. i.e. inappropriate footwear, baggy clothing or choosing to not wear a helmet.

Refunds for deposits will be given if the equipment returns in the same condition it left in and returned within the agreed hire time. If the hired equipment is damaged or lost due to fault of the customer, or late return from agreed hire time, the deposit will be kept by On Your Bike.

The customer agrees with the refund policy by continuing/beginning their hire after reading the refund policy.

 

Group Booking Terms and Conditions

Groups of 20 or more can book in advance, a discount applies if you pre-book and pay as a group.

Bookings must be made via email only: onyourbikemillport@yahoo.co.uk

Bookings must be made for the hire collection time being between 10 – 11.30am.

Bookings are confirmed via email upon paying a deposit which is non refundable without valid cause and agreed within sufficient notice and will be deducted from the total hire cost. Please note there may be a cash deposit required at the time of hire depending on equipment booked.

If more people than your booked number arrive, the extra equipment will be charged as additional hire fee and the customer understands On Your Bike cannot guarantee we will have the extra equipment required available.

Changes to date, time or hire equipment may not be able to be accommodated on the day if the customer has not liaised with On Your Bike before hand.

Bookings are confirmed after the customer has read and agreed with our terms and conditions/policies for equipment and hire which are attached through email and paid deposit.
